Annual Spring Spree
SATURDAY 15 APRIL, 10:30AM-4:30PM
Spring Spree is a one day charity event which celebrates the opening season of the gardens and gallery. This community spirited event invites our visitors to enjoy the gardens in all their splendor through a wide range of activities such as, sports tournaments, egg and spoon races, pony rides and much more. The event is marked by offering each of our guest free entry to the gardens for this one day only,however a charitable donation is suggested which will be going towards Lismores SVP and the LCA education programme.
Easter Egg Hunt
SATURDAY 15 APRIL, 10.30 am-12.30pm
In line with the Spring Spree celebrations LCA will also be holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 15th. Children of all ages will be provided with workbooks to guide them around the gardens in search of sculptures and other landmarks. Successful adventurers who reach the end of the trail will receive a special chocolaty reward. Times 10.30-12.30 Cost per child €5
Towers & Tales

We are delighted to host the magical Towers and Tales, Lismore’s story festival.
Join us for a day of unforgettable literature adventures in Lismore Castle and
across the historic town of Lismore. The festival features a line-up of best-selling
Irish & international writers and illustrators that are not to be missed. As well as fantastic ticketed events with our festival artists, there will be lots of free activities and workshops for all the family including The Book Doctors, pop-up readings, book swaps, illustration exhibition, Glucksman Gallery workshops, Child Vision and Poetry Ireland Tents, festival favorite characters and much more! Towers and Tales has been kindly supported by, The Arts Council and Waterford City and County Council. SUNDAY 14 - WEDNESDAY 31 MAY
Lismore Castle Arts in association with Bealtaine launch an exciting exhibition of works showcasing the best of local talent from our older generations. Participants include residents from St Carthages rest home, Community groups and active retirement groups from Tallow, Lismore and Cappoquin. The exhibition is marked each year by an official launch on the 14th of May with tea and refreshments for all who attend. Further exhibition and launch day details will be announced on Lismore Castle Arts facebook page closer to the date
National Drawing Day
Saturday May 20th, 2017
As part of the National Drawing Day initiative across museums, galleries and cultural institutions throughout the country, Lismore Castle Arts will host a drop-in drawing workshop between 12 and 3PM. We invite visitors to join in and try out some new techniques in a relaxed environment. There will also be easels and drawing materials made available in the gardens throughout the day.

Teddy Bears Picnic
Visitors are encouraged to pack and enjoy a relaxing picnic in the gardens whilst all are entertained by an afternoon of storytelling and our special Teddy Bear Trail. Visitors between 4 and 10yrs will be granted free entry to the gardens if escorted by their favourite teddy companion and picnic basket. Normal garden entry fees apply, €8 Adult, €5 concession.
Spooky screening for kids 2017
Children and adults with a sense of fun and a sweet tooth are invited to join us for a kid friendly spooky screening of a classic Halloween film. This scary screening (that’s not too scary) will set the Halloween mood for all the family. Come enjoy the eerie setting of Lismore Castles Pugin hall and indulge in some treats. 2015s Spooky Screening will be taking place on October 31st, Time 4pm, Film time 1hr 20min, Suitable for children 4yrs and over, €5 per ticket.
Christmas Charity Workshops
Students from primary schools across Waterford will be invited to join us for a morning of festive fun with screenings of Christmas classics in the beautiful Pugin Hall. All profits will be donated to St Vincent De Paul to help less fortunate families through out Ireland over the Christmas period. If you’d like your school to be invited to 2016s special event contact the LCA offices before all seatings are booked out.
